Kudrow, who played Phoebe in the hit sitcom, will create ideas with her partner, producer Dan Bucatinsky, the Hollywood Reporter has said.
The actress may take a starring role in one of the productions, it reported.
The 42-year-old's post-Friends show The Comeback was axed after just one series by US cable channel HBO.
Mr Bucatinsky was executive producer on the show.
NBC comedy series vice-president Shelley McCrory told the Hollywood Reporter: "They are a great talent magnet, and they are very prolific.
"She is a great performer and producer, and he is a terrific writer, so the two are a great team."
NBC was the home of Friends, which ran from 1994-2004.
