Jolie 'terrified' during delivery
The actress said she feared there would be something wrong with her baby, but in fact the child was healthy.
Jolie told CNN that partner Brad Pitt had joined her in the operating room in Namibia and doctors had been "amazing".
Meanwhile, singer Britney Spears has denied a politician's claim that she plans to follow Jolie by having her next baby in the African country.
Namibia's deputy environment and tourism minister, Leon Jooste, said officials had received an inquiry on behalf of Spears, who is pregnant with her second child.
"She has shown interest to come over to Namibia," Mr Jooste claimed. "Nothing has been confirmed yet, but there is a definite possibility of that happening."

However, the story was "not true", according to Leslie Sloane Zelnik, who represents the 24-year-old star.
Mr Jooste later admitted he may have been hoaxed.
Jolie baby
Jolie gave birth to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt on 27 May at a private clinic in the resort town of Walvis Bay in Namibia.
The baby, healthy and weighing seven pounds (3.2 kilos), was delivered by Caesarean section.
Jolie said she was scared about giving birth of Shiloh, who is her third child.
The other two - Maddox, aged four, and 16-month-old Zahara - were adopted from Cambodia and Ethiopia respectively.
"You know, because you're there for the birth, which I wasn't for my first two kids, you're just suddenly terrified that they're not going to take a first breath," she said.
"That was my whole focus. I just wanted to hear her cry."
The actress has also acknowledged that she gives a third of her income to charity, joking that she had "a stupid income" from her work in Hollywood.
